ROMPOX® 1107 ESD coating

After more than a year and half of research by the ROMEX® Research and Development department, the product ROMPOX® 1107 ESD coating has been developed. During the more than 30 years of experience with synthetic resin floor coating systems, this product represents a sensational further development. Up until now, ESD coatings made of synthetic resins, used fibres and granulates to produce conductivity. This method was very limited in it’s effectiveness because it was extremely dependent on the exact thickness of the coating. Due to the nature of the raw materials, the coating could not be produced in light colours. Thanks to the implementation of new types of raw materials, mixed together in an ideal way, the new product ROMPOX® 1107 ESD coating has the following advantages:

  • many standard colours and above all, light colours, up to approx. RAL 9001 (cream)
  • unified layer thicknesses are no longer necessary. Using ROMPOX® 1107 ESD coating, the required leakage resistance as well as all the other required DIN values, are achieved for all layer thicknesses. Concerns regarding this now belong to the past
  • just one abrasion layer (surface sealing not necessary)
  • homogenous and shiny surface
  • fulfills DIN EN 61340-4-1 by measuring the resistance to earth
  • fulfills DIN EN 61340-5-1/5-2 by using the system check «human-shoe-loor» + by measuring the times of conductivity («static decay»)
  • fulfills DIN EN 61340-4-5 + DIN EN 61340-5-1/5-2 using the walking test, measuring body tension
